Every once in a while – you just need to chill. I find that news, personal grief, and filing five months’ worth of papers, primarily regarding my husband’s sickness and death, have given me ample reason to want to chill.

One of the ways I’ve been chilling these last few months is by frivolling money away on DVDs I want to watch. Recently I’ve been on an Alfred Hitchcock kick. I saw a list on-line of someone’s view of his ten best movies. One I had never heard of before, and the description was even weirder. So naturally, I bought it. 

It is a jolly story about love, romance, and a body that won’t stay buried. In fact, the body keeps getting unburied throughout the movie. It was released in 1955. It stars Edmund Gwenn, John Forsythe, Mildred Natwick, Jerry Mathers, and was Shirley MacLaine’s debut.

So, if you’ve had enough of the hard stuff of life — and you just need a break — I strongly recommend a little love and a few laughs with Hitchcock. It is called: The Trouble With Harry.

Harry sure did give them a lot of trouble.
